Until I truly understood how to find cheap flights, I thought travel was financially out of reach for me. I was discovering prices as high as $1000 to Europe and more than double that to other parts of the world. Once I really started understanding how to find cheap flights, travel was much more of a possibility and a more frequent possibility at that. The key tips and tricks I learned along the way were:

+Buy your tickets on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
+Be aware prices can change up to 3x per day

Being able to travel on flexible dates and times makes the world of a difference. I remember when I went to Italy over the summer and the flights were almost 3x what they cost in early to mid September. If you choose to go during the peak season be prepared to pay the price.
Traveling during certain times of the year will play a big role in how expensive the ticket is.
