When traveling solo, something you will definitely want to do is document your trip. For most of us, there are many instances that we want to be in our own photos. I have encountered this problem many times as a solo traveler and have come up with some solutions:
Tripod: Bring a camera so you can set up a tripod and put it on a self-timer. Most cameras have this capability and, while it can be a hassle to carry around, this has served me well many times (if you are unsure of how to set it up, just Google it or look it up on YouTube.)
I recommend a Sirui T-025X lightweight carbon fiber tripod
Shutter release: I have a remote control shutter release for my camera, which I can use to take pictures while being at a distance from my camera.
Vello Wireless ShutterBoss Remote is a great option to use
Ask friends or strangers: You may be shy but figure out a way to ask strangers to help you take a picture – who knows, you might start up a conversation about your travel plans and you could end up making an unexpected friend.
Selfie: The easiest and most traditional way to get yourself in your pictures. When all else fails, selfie!
